FORS Associate membership approval for RTS
Randox Testing Services are pleased to announce we have received approval to become an Associate of the Fleet Operators Recognition Scheme (FORS). The Scheme is a voluntary accreditation scheme encompassing all aspects of safety, fuel efficiency, vehicle emissions and improved operations. FORS helps fleet operators to measure and monitor performance and alter their operations in order to demonstrate best practice. It is open to operators of vans, lorries, mini-buses, coaches and other vehicles, and to the organisations that award contracts to those operators.
RTS are proud to be working with FORS, bringing an exclusive gold standard drug and alcohol testing solution and preferential scheme rate to its members. The package includes on-site-point of care testing for post-incident and with-cause situations, with no annual service fee applied. We also offer a random testing solution which utilises our revolutionary Biochip Array Technology in our ISO17025 accredited laboratory.
Our on-site point of care tests can screen a urine sample for fourteen of the most commonly abused drugs, and will indicate negative or presumptive-positive samples. When rapid screening to determine whether a person needs to be stood down from duty is required, point of care testing is absolutely the right mechanism. Our random testing solution relies on a sample being sent for laboratory screening on our Randox developed Biochip Array Technology, providing a thorough screening result within twenty-four hours of receipt at lab.
Presumptive-positive samples are subject to confirmatory testing via LC-MS to produce legally defensible results. All confirmatory analyses results reported are conducted under ISO/IEC17025 accreditation.
On-site alcohol testing is carried out using Home Office approved breathalysers and includes a second confirmatory test where required.
